What’s included
- Camera layout planned on a free site visit
- Turret, bullet, PTZ and 360° fisheye cameras
- 4K, 8MP and 12MP options where detail matters
- Network video recorders and PoE switches
- Secure remote viewing on phone and computer

- Upgrades and repairs for existing systems
For homes and businesses
Residential: Cameras for entrances, driveways, motor courts, pools and backyards, with phone alerts and wiring hidden from view.
Commercial and industrial: Cameras for lots, loading docks, offices, shops and warehouses, with outdoor PTZ coverage and battery backup.
How we install
- Walk the property and mark every camera position with you
- Run and test cable before mounting anything
- Aim and tune each camera so faces and plates are usable
- Show you how to view and export footage
Choosing a camera resolution: 5MP, 4K, 8MP and 12MP
More megapixels give you more detail when you zoom in, but they also use more storage and network bandwidth. The right choice depends on where the camera goes.
| Resolution | Approx. pixels | Best for | Trade-offs |
|---|---|---|---|
| 5MP | 2560 x 1920 | Homes, offices, shops, hallways and general coverage | Good detail at moderate storage cost |
| 4K / 8MP | 3840 x 2160 | Driveways, parking lots, gates and entrances, where faces and license plates matter | About double the storage and bandwidth of 5MP; needs a compatible recorder |
| 12MP | About 4000 x 3000 | Wide areas, panoramic and 360° fisheye views of warehouses, yards and large rooms | Heaviest on storage and bandwidth; can be weaker in low light |
4K and 8MP are the same resolution. A 4K camera is about 8.3 megapixels. A 4MP camera (2688 x 1520) is a common budget option just below 5MP.
What resolution does
- Detail when zoomed in: higher resolution lets you read a plate or recognize a face in recorded video.
- Wider coverage: one 4K or 12MP camera can cover an area that might take two or three lower-resolution cameras.
What to watch for
- Storage: 4K can use about twice the disk space of 5MP at the same settings.
- Bandwidth: more data per camera loads your network switches.
- Recorder limits: your recorder must support the resolution and camera count.
- Low light: sensor size, lens quality, WDR and infrared matter as much as megapixels.
Our recommendation
Use 5MP as the default, 4K where you need to identify people or plates at a distance, and 12MP or fisheye for wide-area views. Mixing resolutions keeps costs down while covering the key spots well. We help you choose on a free site visit.

Common questions
Is 4K worth it?
Use 4K where you need to identify faces or license plates at a distance, such as gates, driveways and parking areas. For hallways, offices and general rooms, 5MP is usually enough and costs less to store.
How much storage do I need?
It depends on the number of cameras, resolution, how many days you keep footage and whether cameras record all the time or only on motion. We size the recorder drives on the site visit so you reach the retention you want.
Can you add cameras to my existing system?
Often yes. We check your recorder, cabling and brand compatibility first. If the old recorder is full or outdated, we can upgrade it and reuse the cameras that still work.
Can I view my cameras on my phone?
Yes. We set up secure remote viewing on your phone or computer and show you how to use it.
How much does a security camera system cost?
Price depends on the number of cameras, resolution, cable distances and recorder size. We give a free written quote after a site visit so you know the full price before we start.
